Sunday Preview 6/2/24
Solid week of CrossFit with our Front Squat and Strict Press Strength cycles starting up and a couple hero WODs to finish the week!
Monday – Strength progression: pull-ups; followed by 15m AMRAP triplet with power cleans, box jump overs, and double unders.
Tuesday – Strength Cycle: Front Squats; followed by 10m AMRAP triplet with DB walking lunges, wall walks, and sit-ups.
Wednesday – Rowing intervals; followed by glute and core finisher.
Thursday – Strength Cycle: Strict Press; followed by grunt work couplet with burpees and KB swings
Friday – Hero WOD “Daniel” with pull-ups, running, and thrusters and a 20m time cap.
- In honor of Army Sgt 1st Class Daniel Crabtree who was killed in Al Kut, Iraq June 8th 2006.
Saturday – Olympic lifting complex: Snatch; followed by Hero WOD “Randy” 75 power snatch for time at 75/55.
- Newer athletes should use power snatch for the complex and stay light to focus on proper technique
Coaching Moment of the week from Alexis Raptis, CrossFit games athlete, when asked at Semi Finals what her advice is for younger athletes coming up:
- be very patient
- celebrate every win
- don’t take a single day for granted
- don’t compare yourself to anyone else
