Sunday (P)review 7/21/24
Our summer party in the park last night was a blast! We had meat on the grill, games going on, prizes being handed out, kids running through the sprinklers, water balloons flying left and right – it was great to see everyone and their families outside the gym for a fun evening! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped set up and clean up!
Welcome to week 3 of our strength cycle with heavy singles on deadlift. Remember that “heavy” is different from “max.” “Heavy” is a strong rep with proper technique that you could repeat after a couple minutes rest.
Monday – Benchmark WOD The Chief: intervals with power cleans, push-ups, air squats; core finisher
Tuesday – Rope Climb strength/skill progression; 16m cap triplet with machine, box jumps, and running
Wednesday – Overhead Squat Strength work; 12m cap couplet with chest-to-bars and overhead squat
Thursday – Strength cycle: Split Jerk; 12m AMRAP triplet with double unders, dips, and single arm KG swings
Friday – Strength cycle: Deadlift; 10m AMRAP couplet with power cleans and toes-to-bar
Saturday – 30m Cap chipper with power snatch, v-ups, running, and pistols
