How to Choose Healthy Snacks

Are you constantly on the go and trying to figure out healthy (and tasty) snacks to support all day energy and long term health?

Let’s review the most important things to look for in snacks and then you’ll generate 2 new snack ideas in under 15 seconds using our simple guide below!

1. Few, simple, whole food ingredients.

     – Fresh whole foods are ideal. If it’s packaged, we’re looking for a low number of ingredients that are easily recognizable whole foods from the Reverb Grocery Guide.  The more ingredients and the more chemicals, typically the less nutritious and the less satisfying it becomes. Added sugar is a big no.

2. Protein.

     – We want to maintain a good balance of protein every time we eat, including snacks!  Meats and dairy are great high protein options here.

3. Plan ahead.

     – This is probably the hardest part of eating healthy overall.  If we’re already hungry (or hangry) without a pre-planned healthy option at hand, that’s when we fall off track!  Use the Reverb Snack Generator below to create 2 snacks and keep them stocked and ready!

Time yourself and let me know your PR on how long it takes you to create a new snack using the 3 step process below…
