Thursday Spotlight: Zach E!

REVERB IG COVER

“I certainly like what I see in the mirror a lot more…”

Zach has been racking up some awesome progress during his time at Reverb!

Let’s hear about it from him!

What were you doing for fitness before Reverb?

Nothing really. Occasionally a run here and there. I fell off a lot during the pandemic.

What was the problem you wanted to solve that made you want to join Reverb?

The way that I looked. It would be nice to not sweat going up a flight of stairs. I was noticing little things like that that I needed to turn around.

What kind of changes have you seen?

I’ve been coming for about a year and a half. I’ve noticed I don’t sweat as much, which is nice!  I’ve gotten a lot stronger.

It’s amazing how many PRs I’ve gotten and how much my lifts have increased. Those personal wins along the way are exciting.

I certainly like what I see in the mirror a lot more.  But even more, it’s about the mobility, flexibility, and ability to do physical movements that I couldn’t do before – I can do push-ups now!

How else has it impacted your personal life?

I feel my cardio health is better, I can carry groceries easier.  I feel more confident and secure in a bunch of small wins throughout daily activities. I can go for a run now without stopping.

What is it about Reverb that has helped you?

I do group training, and I also started with personal training and nutrition coaching about 6 months ago. I’m a person who will lose interest at a normal gym without structure and accountability.

I was sick last week and people at the gym missed me and were happy to see me when I got back.

There are some competitive people here, but that’s not my focus or the focus of most of the people here – there are mostly parents and normal people of all ages just trying to better themselves.

The right amount of pressure is applied here when working toward your goals!

What would you tell someone interested but scared to get started?

Do it, because you’re probably going to be bad at it for a while but I promise you’ll get better. And the getting better part feels a lot better.
