Christian felt stuck in the same old routine going to the gym by himself and his results were showing it too.

At Reverb he’s hitting a new and different challenge every day and 9 months in he’s moving like a completely different person.

What were you doing for fitness before Reverb?

I had an LA fitness membership. I would do some spin classes and lift weights. I’d exercise about 5 times per week.

What was the problem you wanted to solve that made you want to join Reverb?

I wasn’t reaching my goals. I seemed to have hit a wall and couldn’t get any further no matter how hard I tried.

What kind of changes have you seen?

I’ve been here about 9 months. I really liked it right from the start. 

When you’re going to the gym on your own, it gets repetitive and you get in the same weekly routine. Here there are an unlimited number of different workouts, and I also like that they’re more full-body workouts. I get better workouts.

I’ve gotten more fit because of how the workouts are designed to challenge you.  I’m more flexible, more mobile, and stronger. 

My squats started out looking like a good morning. Now I can squat all the way down to 12”, which is almost where it needs to be!

My balance and coordination have also improved enormously.

How else has it impacted your personal life?

You become more confident because you’re doing difficult workouts and you bring that confidence with you into your everyday life.

I think more clearly and function better!

What is it about Reverb that has helped you?

Firstly, the coaches are really knowledgeable and helpful. You are always getting individual attention and coaching. The coaches are very professional and make sure you’re not doing something above your ability.

The other thing is the community here. We’re all on the same journey at different stages, so we have that in common. There’s a lot of mutual support and everyone gets on as a group very well.

I feel welcome every time I walk in the door.

What would you tell someone interested but scared to get started?

Don’t worry about it, just do it. Whatever preconceptions you have about CrossFit… just come and try it. I haven’t met a single person here who hasn’t benefitted enormously from it.

The results are real and it works!
