
“Since having my baby, I’ve dropped 50 pounds!”
Neomi has been doing CrossFit for about a decade and the past two years of that has been at CrossFit Reverb.
This past year Neomi continued her health and fitness lifestyle through pregnancy and postpartum.
Let’s hear about it from her!
What were you doing for fitness before Reverb?
I’ve been doing CrossFit for a little over 10 years. But in the past year I got pregnant and had my first baby, so I’ve been able to keep working out during and after my pregnancy!
What kind of changes have you seen?
Since having my baby, I’ve dropped 50 pounds! Body fat is down and muscle is coming back up. It’s been great fitting back into my clothes!
What is it about Reverb that has helped you?
Every coach checks in with me individually each day to see where I’m at and help adjust the workout for me.
The structure of the training is great at Reverb. I’m always able to modify the workouts depending on whatever is happening with me at that point in life, including being pregnant!
It has been great being able to recover and get back to my routine, feeling like myself, and getting back to where I was before being pregnant.
The nutrition challenge was great as well. It’s so helpful to keep track and be mindful of what you’re actually eating.
What’s your favorite lift and how are they going recently?
My favorite lift is the snatch and my PR is 125 pounds.
This past week we tested our deadlift and I matched my PR of 215 pounds. So I’m really happy to be hitting my PRs again!
What would you tell someone interested but scared to get started?
Anything new is scary, but it’s definitely worth it. Take it one inch at a time. Inch your way into opening the front door for an intro meeting. Then inch your way through your on ramp. Then inch your way into a class.
You’ll see improvements and your body will start to change. The results really start to compound over time and you won’t regret coming in!
