DJ just hit his 3-month milestone at Reverb and the results speak for themselves—more muscle, less pain, and better sleep.
He’s proof that with consistency, the right guidance, and a willingness to show up, real change happens.
Let’s hear it in his words:
What were you doing for fitness before Reverb?
I would do a little at home workout, some push-ups, squats, and abs. And playing some basketball.
What was the problem you wanted to solve that made you want to join Reverb?
I fractured my knee last year, that was one of the biggest things I wanted to work on. I also wanted to work on my lower back.
What kind of changes have you seen from training at Reverb?
3 months now. The changes I’ve seen are less pain in the areas I previously had constant pain: lower back and knees.
Lower back pain was at 7-8/10 and has decreased down to 5/10. I’m pretty proud about that and it feels good.
My knee pain was at 6-7/10 and is now down to 3-4/10 and only when it’s cold out. I’m starting to get back to where I used to be.
I’m able to move more fluidly without catching myself or second guessing myself. If I have to pick up a box, I can just pick up the box and I’m moving correctly every time. I don’t have to guard myself any more, I can go squat, pick it up and go.
I’m starting to see more definition in my upper body and I’m also feeling and seeing it in my legs.
How else has it impacted your personal life?
I’m able to sleep more and fall asleep easier. Mentally, it’s an hour in my day where I don’t have to focus on anything but myself and my body and just working out. It’s an hour where I don’t have to be in my head.
What would you tell someone interested but scared to get started?
It’s nothing to be scared about really. Get to it.

Each workout DJ does is scaled to his current level and includes substitutions from the coach as needed to work around any joint pain that day.
This allows DJ to get a great workout, build strength, flexibility, and muscle mass around his joints, and not cause his joint pains to flare up or get worse in the short term.
DJ trains 3 times a week and hasn’t missed his 3 per week since starting – his consistency is a big factor in the amazing results he’s getting in a short time period.
His journey is a reminder: start where you are, use what you have, and trust the process. If you stay consistent, your progress will speak for itself—just like DJ’s does.
Great work DJ, we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
