Member Spotlight: Natalie!

Natalie, 41, is new to CrossFit.  Let’s hear from her about her first 3 months!

What were you doing for fitness before Reverb?

I was sleeping a lot, and I trained for a 10k, but that’s about it. Sporadic at best. 

What made you want to join Reverb?

My therapist told me I need to do hard things [haha] so I thought I could join a gym.  I’m also entering the age where everyone is concerned about bone density and body mass, so I figured I’d start now!

How long have you been coming and what have you noticed?

I’ve been coming about 3 months. The main thing I’ve noticed that has been the most positive, is a much more positive mental headspace about my body.  I feel so much more appreciative of my body and thankful for my body, and I don’t have as much negative self talk around pants not fitting or whatever else is in your head.  I’m like, I can deadlift real weight!  My clothes are also fitting better, which always feels good.  I have a lot more energy, and I’m sleeping better. 

What would you tell someone interested but scared to get started?

Oh, if I can do it, you can.  I’m a total wuss and I did it, and have only cried twice, I think [haha]. It’s really great, everyone here is awesome.  Come join us!
