Have you ever worried about starting a new workout program and not being able to make it through the workout or feeling sick or unwell from the high intensity?
Here are the key things to remember when starting out a new training program to have the best experience and set yourself up for continued success.
1. Nutrition
– The most common reason this happens is your body isn’t properly fueled for what you want it to do. Make sure you are well fed with nutritious foods leading up to your workout. (Reverb Grocery Guide)
2. Hydration
– The same thing applies to water! Make sure you’ve been drinking plenty of water leading up to your workout.
3. Pacing yourself.
– The other common reason we see this is you’re pushing yourself too hard too soon. Maybe you used to be in much better shape, or maybe you didn’t realize how out of shape you were.
Be patient and give your body time to adapt to the new workout program by slowly ramping up. Move through your workout at a sustainable pace – it might be much slower than you thought!
At Reverb, our coaches guide you through our On Ramp program where you build a strong foundation on fundamental techniques while learning the pace that works best for you.
Remember that building fitness takes time – patience is key to developing your new lifestyle and making the results sustainable for the long term!
