
Our biggest community event of the year, the Reverb Open, kicked off this past weekend – and it was a blast!

Each year, CrossFit global HQ runs the CrossFit Open, comprised of 1 workout per week for 3 weeks.

For those 3 weeks, hundreds of thousands of CrossFitters around the globe do the same workout each week and compare scores on the leaderboard (if you’re so inclined!)

At Reverb, we have 1 heat of 4-8 athletes go Friday nights, and another 5 heats of about 8 athletes each do the workout on Saturday mornings.
On top of that, the gym is split into 3 teams competing for points based on participation and spirit.
It’s a fun way to get your workout in with your gym buddies while also benchmarking your fitness against all the other CrossFitters in the world; it’s not about WHERE you rank, it’s about doing a little better this year than you did last year! That means your work is paying off and you’re improving!
The workout this past week included burpees, dumbbell hang clean to overhead, and walking lunges. It was very approachable for all our members – and we also further modified the workout for a few members working around injuries.
